Frequently asked questions

Can the controller be expanded beyond 8 zones?
This model is fixed at 8 zones. For 12, 16, 24, or higher zone counts, we offer larger HRS controllers — please specify required zone count in your enquiry.
What heater cable connectors are standard?
We supply 24-pin Harting (or equivalent) male connectors on the controller side, compatible with the most common mould-side heater cables. Alternative connector standards available on request.
Does it work with mould-mounted thermocouples?
Yes. The thermocouple input cable runs from the mould (typically via the same 24-pin connector carrying heater power) into the controller. Standard Type J and Type K thermocouples supported.
Can we communicate to a SCADA system?
Yes, RS-485 Modbus RTU communication is available as an option. The SCADA can read all zone setpoints, actuals, and alarms, plus write new setpoints remotely.
What's the difference between HRS controller and temperature controller?
An HRS controller is purpose-built for injection moulding hot runners — fast PID response, soft-start, mould-cable connectors, recipe-per-mould features. A generic temperature controller (e.g. for ovens) lacks these specialised features.
